Commercial Points for punching machine

  1. Do we have to negotiate with the supplier commercial affairs and technical affairs simultaneously?
  2. We strongly recommend you to start negotiating technical affairs first (if offer and quotation is reasonable to you). Clear all vague points in technical affair and then start negotiating commercial affairs.


  3. Why do we have start negotiating technical affairs first?
  4. When you change items and options, price, delivery time and terms may get changed.


  5. Why should the customers need to inform Punching machine suppliers of their working environment?
  6. We know that working environment could effect on outputs (tolerances) and even on machines. Working environment includes cold, warm, hot, dry, humidity, clean and dusty. For example, if your factory is located in very cold climate, the supplier has to use heating system in hydraulic tanks or special rubber seal in some parts of punching machine


  7. How much is the standard volume of sound produced by the punching machines?
  8. The Standard volume is 75 Decibel for all working mental machines but for punching machines is 50 or 60 Decibel.


  9. What technical documents do you need to get from supplier?
  10. You need to get electrical drawings, hydraulic drawings, maintenance manual, potential errors and list of wear parts.


  11. What are Commercial affairs for punching machines?
  12. Price, Payment Terms, Delivery Time, Packing, Guaranty, Warranty, Per acceptance, Final Acceptance, Delay Penalty, Inco Terms and Documents.


  13. What is Incoterms?
  14. The Incoterms are a series of pre-defined commercial terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce defining, obligations, costs and risks of the delivery of goods. Ex-works, FOB, CFR, CPT, CIF are some of them.


  15. What is delay penalty in delivery?
  16. In case you mention delay penalty in your agreement –signed by supplier and customer, you could clam penalty and deduct the amount of penalty as agreed in final payment.

  18. There are two kinds of documents. commercial documents and technical documents. P/I, Invoice, Certificate of Origin, packing list, inspection if the machine has been inspected, manual and drawings including electrical drawings, pneumatic drawings, wear parts drawings.


  19. Can customer choose the color of Punching Machine?
  20. The customers have right to select the color of the machine. The customers have to inform the supplier the RAL colors.


  21. What is acceptance?
  22. When supplier finishes manufacturing the punching machine in their factory, they have to announce it to the customer. It would be better that customer attend in suppliers’ factory for two reasons. One: testing or checking all requested parameters. Two: training, maintenance training. This acceptance is mostly called Pre-acceptance.


  23. What are main technical parameters of tube bending Machines?
  24. Accuracy , speed, power , tube feeding system, components brands, NC or CNC , rotary head.


  25. What is final Acceptance?
  26. Some customers request suppliers to set off experts to customer’s factory to install and run the machines in factory. Manufactures’ experts have to assemble and setup the machine and then run the machine for two or three shifts. If any problems occurred –after setup- final acceptance is Ok.
