  4. A mandrel is a device that enters the tubes when bending the pipe and prevents it from wrinkling, breaking and splitting. The advantages of using Mandrel are, increasing accuracy, decreasing damages caused in process.
    One disadvantage of the using Mandrel is that reduces the production speed.


  5. What is the first step in buying a bending machine?
  6. The first step is to prepare and send your written request along with drawings and work plans to the manufacturer of the bending machine. the drawing should have technical information including diameters, thicknesses, length of the part, type of pipes (seamed or seamless) and material. It would be much better you inform manufacture bending radius, bending angle, coefficient of axial tolerance (geometry and conditions) of different curved areas and the neutral length in the submitted drawing.


  7. why is there manual movement- as option- in Automatic Tube Bending Machines?
  8. It would be used in maintenance process or when machine faces with a problem or in programing.

  12. Seamed or seamless, deburred or burred, surface roughness, materials and diameters. They are crucial important as it could be considered in design of mandrels, chucks, collets and parts of the machines and even in measuring devices and cutting devices and pipe feeders.

  14. There are two types of Pipe Feeding Systems. The first type is culled manual and second called Automatic pipe feeding system. In manual operator load the machine one by one but in automatic operation, there is a pipes reservoir and guide rails in which pipes get stored and get led to the pulley of machine or head of pipe bending machine.

  16. There are two types of PLCs . Mini PLC and PLC. Mini PLC are mostly used for NC Machines and PLCs are used for CNC Machines.

  18. We know that working environment could effect on outputs (tolerances) and even on machines. Working environment includes cold, warm, hot, dry, humidity, clean and dusty. For example, if your factory is located in very cold climate, the supplier has to use heating system in hydraulic tanks or special rubber seal in the tube bending machine.

  20. The Standard volume is 75 Decibel for all working mental machines but for tube bending machines is 50 or 60 Decibel.

  42. Yes, the customers have right to select the color of the machine. The customers have to inform the supplier the RAL colors.


  43. What is acceptance?
  44. When supplier manufactured and tested the tube bending machine in factory, they have to announce it to the customer. It would be better that customer attend in suppliers’ factory for two reasons. One: checking all requested parameters. Two: training, maintenance training. This acceptance is mostly called Pre-acceptance.


  45. What is final acceptance?
  46. For CNC tube bending machines, suppliers would send their technical experts to install and run the tube bending machine in customs’ factory. When the machine gets installed. The machine should work in two or three shifts to show potential defects.
