This types of machines can be a single-station or twin-station or multi-station. The more stations there are, the higher the output speed of the machine. The first station has rougher materials than the last station. These types of polishing machines are also able to polish sections with different shapes including circle, oval, rectangle and hexagon. These polishing machines can also polish aluminum, brass, or copper pipes by replacing the polishing tools. When the pipe material changes, parameters such as the abrasive material, the advance speed and the amount of force volume of the polishing tool to the pipe must also be changed in order for the desired polishing to take place.

Abrasive belt speed in many polishing machines is adjustable from 10 meters per second to 30 meters per second, which is made possible with an inverter in the machine. Advance speed and abrasive belt speed can be seen on a digital display. These machines are equipped with an automatic self-centering feed system that is used with 4 rollers in the form of 4 + 4 for pipes without bending, and the pipe is directed to the polishing station.

The foot pedal installed in these machines is designed so that the operator can slow down the speed of the abrasive belt. At each polishing station, there is a planetary wheel in which eight rollers rotate in a 4 + 4 fashion. In other words, both the planetary wheel and the rubber rollers spin at the same time.

The main components of pipe polishing machines are four leveling feet, pivot, control knob, variable speed bottoms, and safety switch. The advance speed of the inner tube to the polishing station can be adjusted both manually and automatically. For small parts, short pipes, or bent pipes, the advance speed is usually adjusted manually, but for long and smooth straight pipes, the advancement is done automatically. One of the disadvantages of these machines is that they cannot polish closed bent pipes, meaning that pipes with two ends connected cannot be polished with these machines.
